Whatsapp will allow you to listen to audio during a call

The most popular instant messaging software has just released another update to further improve communication capabilities. Now, we can listen to a voice note in the background, while we are on a call. This feature joins the latest additions which are: changing the playback speed of an audio, transcribing an audio to text via an application and pre-listening to a voice note before sending it.

This feature of being able to listen to the voice note continuously without having to stay in the chat allows us to access extra information about certain aspects of a call, to obtain information in real time and to deal with various priorities without having to interrupt the call. Voice notes can still be played in the background as if it were a music player, and it appears at the top of the app.

As reported by WABetaInfo, a tool has been created and is now available to some users in beta for iOS devices (v22.1.72), giving you the ability to interact with other users while listening to voice note from a different chat conversation. On the other hand, this feature is under development for Android beta users (v2.22.3.1).

At the moment, this is a feature that is being developed and they plan to release this new feature in a future update.
